Strategy and Materiality

Sustainability Strategy

Since 2020, we have outlined our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy based on specific performance indicators and measurable short, medium, and long-term goals, aligned with the following national and international methodologies and standards:

  • Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
  • Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)
  • Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark
  • Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) + Sustainable Development Goals
  • AMEFIBRA’s ESG Manual

To develop these indicators, in 2020 we conducted a materiality study which was updated in 2022, involving our stakeholders to define risks and opportunities.

As a result, our strategy is based on the following pillars:

Priority Environmental Topics:

  • Water
  • Energy
  • Waste
  • Sustainable spaces
  • Emissions

Priority Social Topics:

  • Diversity and inclusion (accessible and inclusive facilities)
  • Health and safety in facilities
  • Community engagement

Transversely, we have implemented a strategy for our human capital, primarily focused on:

  • Workers who were providing services through an external service provider were hired by FibraShop to provide greater stability for them and their families.
  • No worker will earn less than two minimum wages (“FibraShop Salary”).
