ENERGÍA

Today, energy management plays a pivotal role in the real estate sector, encompassing both environmental and economic perspectives. This management contributes to reducing the environmental impact of our operations, decreasing energy requirements for our tenants, mitigating exposure to changes in energy costs, and enhancing the experience of our customers and tenants. This balance achieves profitability, visitor comfort, and environmental responsibility. At FibraShop, we recognize the importance of integrating and implementing energy efficiency measures in the design, construction, and operation of our assets. This includes using efficient heating and cooling systems, installing low-energy lighting, and incorporating renewable energy sources.

  1. Income poverty lines are measured by the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL); however, the parameter we have considered is that of the latter because it is the highest threshold.
  2. For the energy calculations (GJ), we used the calorific value from the RENE 2023.
  3. For the variation of this parameter, as there is no consumption in 2019, 2020 is used to determine the variation.
  4. For the variation of this parameter, since there is no consumption in 2019, 2020 is used to determine the variation.

Our consumption is measured based on CFE, gas, gasoline and diesel bills; each of our tenants is responsible for their energy and fuel consumption, so FibraShop is only responsible for the common areas.

During 2022, 18.93% of our energy consumption came from renewable sources, bringing us closer to our goal of achieving 50% renewable energy by 2027. Additionally, we achieved a reduction of 23.7% in our electricity consumption compared to 2019.

Energy Reduction Initiatives

IN 2022, OUR CONSUMPTION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS ACCOUNTED FOR 18.93% OF OUR ANNUAL ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION, AN INCREASE OF 25.9% OF RENEWABLE ENERGY COMPARED TO 2021.
